Coagulate is a fast-paced team game where players race against the clock to identify blood test terminology, laboratory investigations and clinical concepts.
Teams take turns selecting a player to become the Describer. Using a card from the deck, the Describer gives verbal clues to help their team identify the correct term - without saying, spelling or using any part of the answer.
The category is determined by the colour of the square the team is currently on, covering areas such as Arterial Blood Gases, Liver Function Tests, Urea & Electrolytes, Endocrine & Other Tests, and Full Blood Count.
With 60 seconds on the clock, the team must identify as many terms as possible. Every correct answer earns a point and allows the team to move forward on the game board.
Land on a Pot Luck square and the challenge changes, giving teams the opportunity to tackle a selection of terms and gain extra spaces.
The first team to reach or pass the final square wins!
Whether used for teaching, revision or group learning, Coagulate combines teamwork, discussion and friendly competition to create an engaging way to build confidence in interpreting blood results.
